They say you can tell if your Wurmple will evolve into a Silcoon or Cascoon based on its behavior: if it stares blankly at most objects, eats any food without reservation, or sits on the side of a tree without moving for hours, it will definitely evolve into one of the two.

The protective covering around Silcoon is, in fact, silk! Each spring, gardeners harvest discarded Silcoon husks left behind by evolution. The husks are boiled in water, then unraveled into long continuous threads.

It is theorized that Florge’s lack of a Grass-Typing was an evolutionary defense against Beautifly’s attacks. The two are bitter rivals, and fight during the day for control over flower fields.

Cascoon’s protective shell is brittler than Silcoon’s. If somebody wants to sell you “Silcoon” husks, check the color. It is still possible to make fabric from a Cascoon husk, but much more difficult.

Dustox are skittish, using their natural camouflage to hide in trees as autumn leaves. This would be an effective strategy if they were not also known for eating all the foliage around them, making large bare areas over their hiding spots.
