It is unknown how wild Togepi survive long enough to evolve. Theories span from secret poison secretions to joining egg clutches of other Pokémon. Togepi’s rarity means whatever the method, it must not work very well.

Togetic are hard to train. They dislike shouted commands and respond poorly to the tense emotions of battle. But with a positive attitude and patience, they grow to adore the feelings of pride and respect from well-fought battles.

Togekiss’ home region is unknown, as they drop eggs wherever they visit. They consider these eggs to be gifts to the surrounding residents, perhaps not even realizing the eggs will hatch.
