Spoink lives far from shore and is a poor swimmer. How they obtain Clamperl pearls is still a mystery; recent theory is that Spoink grows the pearl itself. This would explain why it loves eating sand.

Grumpig still loves bouncing on its tail, but only when it thinks nobody is watching. If Grumpig falls asleep, it can start bouncing out of habit. Grumpig owners love to record video of this.
