Piplup is much better at swimming than walking. They love racing against each themselves or other species in the water. Piplup winner circles are notoriously hard to deal with for local swimmers.

Prinplup only flock when an Empoleon evolves to keep them in line. Even then, they proudly refuse help from each other when a predator arrives. This pride washes away when a Gyarados appears.

Empoleon is one of the strongest swimmers in the world, despite the steel that should weigh it down. Boatyards design their ships based on Empoleon’s shape to handle the roughest waters.
