After drilling a hole in trees, Pikipek vents the built-up sawdust through its beak as a stinging cloud. Sometimes Pikipek saves this sawdust to chase Emolga out of its nest.

Trumbeak’s many calls have made it a popular partner for street performers on Alolan streets. Musicians prefer its ability to mix together sounds to Chatot’s stricter call and response mimicry.

Toucannon’s larger size compared to Trumbeak make it prefer sparser forests. They build their nests in open sight of other Pokémon and use their bill as a warning against battle, rather than hiding in the trees.
