Kyogre swims in the deepest parts of the ocean, the red glow from its rings visible for miles through the darkness. It surfaces in storms so mighty that no boat escapes unscathed; sailors reportedly quit their jobs after a mere glimpse.

Before Hoopa stole the power of the sea, Kyogre’s primal power could erase settlements without even noticing. Trainers took the League Challenge quest to become Champion and try to defeat Kyogre, if only for a while. Even when they succeeded, they rarely came back.
