Jangmo-o live in large packs but don’t hunt together. Instead, they spar at night and hunt alone during the day. If Jangmo-o find themselves after the same prey, they make competing clangs with their forehead scale. The louder noise wins, if the prey hasn’t already run off.

The Alolan Dance Step lists at least twenty seven unique dances Hakamo-o will perform to communicate with its pack. Fifteen of these are about combat, but the rest have a wide variety of meanings.

Kommo-o sleeps in places that enhance its acoustics, but most of these are manmade, so Kommo-o leads packs of its pre-evolutions to seize them. Its tail’s jangling coordinates Jangmo-o and Hakamo-o’s movements, but the Kommo-o refuses to join except for worthy foes.
