Demand for pet Eevee is always high, but they can be surprisingly stressful to raise. Eevee require constant supervision to keep them from evolving into something you don’t want.

Piscine mutations let Vaporeon live both on land and in water. Tales of mermaids may have come from very drunk sailors spotting Vaporeon. Nowadays they’re often found lying in sinks, or hiding in the toilet pretending they don’t know who shredded the toilet paper.

Jolteon have been respected and noble pets throughout history, but the modern ubiquity of electricity leads to frequent complaints of licked sockets, chewed wires, and Jolteon running away with fresh laundry stuck to them.

Not an indoor pet. Firemen worldwide use Flareon’s courage, strength, and fire resistance to help clear burning buildings of debris, and to drag people and Pokémon to safety. They are the stereotypical mascot of fire brigades.

Espeon are rare in the wild: Espeon only evolve when they want to protect something nearby. Domestic Espeon are fascinated by knocking objects off shelves and tables — even ones they can only reach with psychokinesis.

Wild Umbreon are rare, instead usually evolving under a beloved Trainer to protect them from attackers. Umbreon that evolve in the wild are especially antisocial, refusing to mingle even with other Eevee.

Trimmings collected from groomed Leafeaon can be turned into potpourri for parties or attracing wild Pokémon. Household Leafeaon tend to crush potted plants by sitting on them and hogging the soil — and don’t let them near windowshades!

Glaceon is a great way to avoid paying for air conditioning. It never lets the atmosphere around it go above 65°F, so as long as it lives in your house it never gets too warm. Don’t forget to feed it though, unless you want a house colder than the worst winter.

Because Sylveon evolves via bonds with Trainers, it is legally debated if Sylveon is an artificial Pokémon or simply domesticated. Wild Sylveon might evolve from bonds with other species, but this has yet to be observed. What has been observed is Sylveon challenging running cars as if they were dragons.
