Pearl divers tell of sea trenches with hundreds of Clamperl and as many pearls to be plucked from the sides of the sleeping pink roe. But wouldn’t an area with so many Clamperl be too deep for humans?

Huntail’s body acts differently undersea than on land and shallows. A weak swimmer in its own environment, its wriggling becomes effective slithering. No longer an ambush predator, it instead chases prey.

Wild Gorebyss are cruel hunters, even eating Clamperl if there’s no other food available. Gorebyss’ thin mouth slips between Clamperl’s shell seams, leaving them defenseless.
